The Dunedin Ice Stadium is the premier ice sports facility in NZ. A ‘not for profit’ community facility, the Dunedin Ice Stadium operates year round and is open for public skating 6 days a week. It also plays host to numerous national and international events each year and is home to the Dunedin Thunder hockey team.

Announcement: Ice Maintenance Updates

The Dunedin Ice Stadium has made the tough decision to close between the dates of December 10th 2018 and January 21st 2019 for some much needed refurbishment and under-ice maintenance. We selected this window with the intention of effecting our athletes and customers the least. Because we have so much exciting work planned, the open date is subject to change but we will keep you posted!

Stick & Puck

Ever wanted to try hockey? Or do you want a time to come down and work on the skills that you don’t get a chance to practice during trainings? Stick & Puck is the solution to your problems, with these sessions being dedicated to hockey, all you need is a helmet, a stick, skates and gloves!

 

The Dunedin Ice Stadium does have some gear to hire for those that want to try.

 

Stick & Puck session times: Sunday 12pm-2pm & Saturday 4pm-6pm (Saturday dependent on availability so please check our calendar to confirm!)

Social Curling

Social curling is a great activity for groups of 6 people or more. The price includes the curling equipment hire, hire of our function room, BYO food and drink, and a coach to get you sliding. Times vary depending on availability so booking is essential.
